TouchVPN for Windows is a VPN service for computers running Windows 10. It can also be installed in Mac OS X, Android, and iOS devices. TouchVPN was originally developed by three developers associated with Jelastic, but has switched its ownership to Pango, a US-based VPN provider. This puts TouchVPN under the Five-Eyes intelligence-sharing apparatus. Regardless, the app offers a no-log policy. This means that it does not collect any information that is not relevant to improving its services. With TouchVPN, you get access to at least 25 server options across Europe and the United States.

Security and jurisdiction
TouchVPN is based and incorporated in the United States. This is important to know as the country’s legal system will affect the data retention laws and the privacy regulations this program is subject to. Generally, the publishers of TouchVPN must work cooperatively with other Five Eyes countries to collect, analyze, and share information domestically and internationally. TouchVPN will collect 19 bits of information from you which includes your Account Information, Billing Information, Bandwidth Usage, and Internet Service Provider.
The purpose of collecting this information is to improve the app’s service over time. The application also uses tracking technologies such as cookies and page tags to monitor your browsing activity. Note that you have to permit the program to track your computer for it to find your current location. The tracker is not only embedded by TouchVPN but also its partner apps, 1Password and Identity Guard. The bits of information that TouchVPN is able to amass is protected by its protocol and security system.
TouchVPN uses Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol and WebRTC Leak Blocking to guard your information. PPTP is made up of communication rules that allow a corporation to extend its own network through signals over the public internet. WebRTC or Web Realtime Communications enables peer-to-peer video, audio, and other information to travel across two web browsers. Note that it is an open-source project that focuses solely on real-time communication through application programming interfaces or APIs.
Features and capabilities
You will find that TouchVPN’s servers are limited, specifically its North American servers are only located in the United States and Canada. The rest of the servers are located in Europe so you will not find any servers located in Asia, South America, and Australia. You can download TouchVPN for the intention of unblocking streaming services or downloading torrents.
Take note, however, that it is unable to do either. This is because it does not support P2P activity on its servers. Any questions you may have about TouchVPN can be sent to its Customer Support service. They can receive your concerns or queries via email only which means any pressing matters may not be addressed immediately.
Passable VPN service
TouchVPN can help you quickly hide your current location or IP address from websites. The options for servers are limited but they are enough for you to keep your browsing activity away from trackers. The desktop program is also easy-to-use as it will run immediately after you have selected a server.
