Ganglia leverages widely used technologies such as XDR for compact, portable data transport, XML for data representation and RRDtool for data storage and visualization. The application uses carefully engineered data structures and algorithms in order to achieve very low per-node overheads and high concurrency. Ganglia’s implementation is robust and has been ported to an extensive set of operating systems and processor architectures.

Ganglia is distributed as a single archive. It contains all the files required to deploy the application on top of a stable web server. Simply copy files to the root of your web server or in a specific directory to get started. After installation, you can access the Ganglia system from any computer, smartphone or tablet device.

Overall, Ganglia is a great application that is easy to configure, and has a low footprint on server performance.
