Baidu Antivirus is the most popular Chinese search engine. The program now has an English version, which retains all the functions of the original. It has all the standard features any security software would offer including a quick scan, web-access protection, and download protection.

Besides all the regular tools like auto-scan and quarantine, Baidu doesn’t offer anything special. The interface is easy to navigate, which is good. Installation is quick and hassle-free as there’s no premium option.
It has a real-time protection mode, which protects your internet activities. This shouldn’t be a switchable option, since an antivirus app would do this by default.
Base level security
Baidu can defend against common threats and will detect some malware, but it does so on a fundamental level. It doesn’t detect advanced trojans and a lot of different ransomware. When a virus bypasses the app in a scan, you’d see a “safe” label, despite the fact that the virus will damage your device.
One feature that works well is the behavioural alert. It tells you what the app suspects a particular website or file would do to your computer. Also, when a file becomes free of threats, there will be indicators on its name.
Doesn’t offer much protection
If you’re someone who usually stays away from suspicious sites, Baidu does the job. However, programmes such as AVG and Kaspersky are capable of doing so much more than this application.
