Asphalt 8: Airborne for Windows 10

Car racing game

The Asphalt racing series by Gameloft introduced the 8th game in the series with the name Airborne. It doesn’t take the title in a new direction but it does improve upon the old. It is free to play and has semi-realistic, yet amazing graphics. It even boasts exciting race tracks.

Gameplay

Overall you are going to experience unreal graphics as it is an arcade game. However, they have improved the design from the last game. Also, the selection of cars available is expansive with over 47  and nine new race tracks around the world.

It doesn’t have an open-world setting like NFS, but Asphalt 8: Airborne makes up for it with a variety of modes to play. This comprises career and the quick race setting with inclusions. Unfortunately,  you have to pay to keep going  or Asphalt becomes grindy.

Improvements

Of course, the multiplayer has remained a constant in the series; however, Gameloft has added springboards, which players can use to perform marvelous tricks. From the previous editions, the design elements were improved.

Another aspect that has finally stabilised is the controls. Lastly, you can play offline, making this different from all the other iterations of the series like number 7.

Other racing games

Need for Speed has long been one of the most important gaming series and competition to Asphalt. It provides the epic thrill of car chase, which peaked in NFS: Most Wanted. Their competing title, Need for Speed: Heat, feels more realistic and polished than Airborne.

Asphalt 7 is inferior to 8 as there were some game-wide glitch improvements. The differences between Airborne and Legends, the ninth Asphalt, are not that big. Gameloft did make improvements in customisations and improve the look while continuing to support both games.

Solid arcade racer

There are a variety of racing games available; however, Asphalt 8 stands out as a great game. While the emphasis on paying to play is annoying, it still redeems itself through the game’s excellent graphics and fun pace. If you are looking for an arcade racer, A8 Airborne is right for you.
